Terms of Service

Last updated May 18, 2026. The rules of the road for using StudocAI.

Quick summary. No subscription — you buy credit packs only when you need them. Unused packs refundable within 30 days via Paddle. AI outputs are study aids, not authoritative sources. See the Privacy Policy for data handling.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of StudocAI (studocai.com), a product of DJ Cloud Solutions ("DJ Cloud Solutions", "StudocAI", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use StudocAI.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance via email or in-product notice. The "last updated" date below always reflects the current version.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to create an account.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Notify us at security@studocai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • One person, one account. You may not share a single account across multiple people.

3. How credits work

StudocAI runs on a prepaid credit model. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no monthly commitment.

  • New accounts receive 500 free credits at signup.
  • Additional credits can be purchased in one-time packs (Week, Month, Semester). See /pricing.
  • Each AI action (a tutor question, a generated quiz, a transcript, an audio file, etc.) consumes a number of credits proportional to the computation it requires. The exact cost is shown before you confirm where applicable, and deducted at the time of use.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is active.
  • Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
  • If your account is terminated for breach of these terms, remaining credits are forfeited.

4. Payments and Paddle

All credit purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. (or one of its affiliates), which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase. They handle payment, fraud screening, sales tax / VAT collection, billing communications, and disputes.

The prices shown at checkout are the prices you pay. Paddle adds any applicable tax based on your billing location. Currency may be converted automatically by Paddle based on your card.

By completing checkout you agree to Paddle's buyer terms, available at paddle.com/legal.

5. Refunds

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are processed by Paddle on our behalf.

  • Unused credit packs are refundable within 30 days of purchase, in line with Paddle's standard buyer protection policy. A pack is considered "unused" if no credits from it have been spent.
  • Credits that have already been consumed by AI services are non-refundable, because the underlying compute has already been performed.
  • To request a refund, reply to the receipt email Paddle sent you, or contact support@studocai.com and we will forward the request to Paddle.
  • We may make exceptions outside the 30-day window in genuine cases of service malfunction or duplicate charges, at our discretion.

6. AI output — important disclaimer

StudocAI uses third-party AI models (currently Microsoft Azure OpenAI) to generate study aids. Outputs are produced probabilistically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or misleading.

Outputs are provided "as is" and are intended as study aids, not as authoritative academic, medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Always verify important information against primary sources and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

Submitting AI-generated work for academic credit may violate your institution's academic integrity policy. You are solely responsible for how you use outputs. We strongly encourage you to use StudocAI for learning, drafting, and revision — not as a substitute for your own work.

7. Content you submit

You keep ownership of the content you upload. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you (e.g., sending it to Azure OpenAI to generate a response, storing it so you can come back to it).

You represent that you have the right to upload the content you submit and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI provider is contractually prohibited from doing so under our enterprise terms.

8. Content the AI generates

To the extent permitted by law, you own the AI-generated outputs produced from your inputs, subject to these terms. Because identical or similar outputs may be generated for other users from similar inputs, AI outputs are not unique to you and we make no warranty regarding their exclusivity or originality.

Some outputs may include third-party material (quotations, citations). It's your responsibility to attribute or license such material appropriately when you use it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use StudocAI to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
  • Generate content that harasses, threatens, defames, or discriminates against anyone.
  • Generate content depicting sexual exploitation of minors, real-world violence against identifiable individuals, or instructions for creating weapons of mass harm.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our system prompts, model weights, or any part of the service not made available to you.
  • Resell, redistribute, or expose the service or your account credentials to third parties.
  • Submit malware, attempt to disrupt the service, or probe for vulnerabilities outside an authorized security disclosure channel.
  • Submit other people's personal information without their consent.

10. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is permanent and removes your content, conversations, and credit balance within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your account poses a risk to other users or the service, or if we are legally required to. We will tell you why where we can. If we terminate your account for breach, unused credits are forfeited and not refundable. If we terminate your account without cause (e.g., we discontinue the service), we will issue a pro-rata refund of unused, unredeemed credit packs through Paddle.

11. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may take parts of the service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or due to outages of third-party providers (Azure, Supabase, Paddle).

Features may be added, changed, or removed over time. If we materially reduce a feature you've paid for, we will notify you and, where appropriate, offer a refund or equivalent credit through Paddle.

12. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudocAI and its directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Our aggregate liability for any direct damages arising under these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for credit packs in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — for example, liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold StudocAI harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party right.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the country where StudocAI is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where you have mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of the country you live in, nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

For purchases, additional terms set by Paddle (the Merchant of Record) apply — see paddle.com/legal.

16. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
  • You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction.
  • These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
